I want to Thank Maria Elana over at Our Home Away from Home for featuring my post,
Mail Box Makeover and Empty Nest Syndrome from last week's Tuesday's At Our Home Party!!
Thanks so much, Maria Elena!!
Please take some time to visit and link up to this great party!!
And now to my new treasures.....
Pretties......
Not sure if I will keep this cute shelf this color or not.....
This magazine/paper file with go in the Craft Room somewhere.....
Perfect for my Patriotic Decor which is still up until after Labor Day.......
Vintage pieces..........
This will find a home in the Den.....
This in the Craft Room.......
This in the Dining Room....
Tea Items......
Love this Lusterware Tea Cup.......
And this Tea and Toast Set......
And this adorable Tea Pot!!
Kitchen Wares.......
Perfect colors for my Kitchen!!
Looks great on my long shelf of vintage items on the one wall in my Kitchen!!
Floral........
Pretty candle rings......
There was a total of 8 of these wreaths in these styles.....
An Antique book dated 1902!!
Even though it is not in good shape, I still LOVE it!!
Crafty Items.......
A Joan Rivers Storage Bag with compartments on both sides!!!
Maybe for all kinds of things in the Craft Room!!!
Ribbon, Music Sheet Books, Thread, Doll Parts and Hats!!
Things for more projects......
I'll do a cute arrangement in this....
Brooms to decorate.....
And Fall Florals to use for that and for wreaths.....
Linens......
A plaid runner......
A Vinyl table cloth...........
This can be cut and used in a multitude of places!!
Another vinyl "Lace" tables cloth!!
Place mats.....
And they are reversible too!!
2 of these gold table toppers.......
Holiday Items.....
Easter Items......
How do you like those big eggs!! LOL!!
And these are all my new Christmas Treasures!!
To see and read more about these, please click HERE to visit a post over on my Christmas Blog about these goodies!!!
Storage and Practical Items....
This sort of called to me......
Yes, it is a smoking stand/tray.......
I could easily replace the ash tray part and make it a table or use the ash tray part and put a potted plant in it and make it a plant stand.......
We will see.......
You can always find a use for one of these round tables......
Tubs for storage of Holiday decor!!
And a pink one too that will most likely be used in my craft room......
And also for the Craft Room...
And these.....
The drawer will be used in our storage room which by the way, I finally organized the way I wanted it and now I can reach everything with out having to climb and move things around.
Sorry, Joe!!
I will be sharing our Storage Room in another post......
And these were portable kneelers that the church did not want!!
Not that I can kneel on my bad knee but Joe can and they are great for sitting on the hard floor too!!
Better than those flimsy seat pads!! There were about 20 of these and they flew right out of there!!
Another item for the Storage Room....
New racks for in the kitchen cabinets.....
This is a huge tray and will go in my Kitchen utensil drawer.....
And this......
Do NOT laugh......
Okay, it is called a quad cane because of the 4 legs on the bottom and is a right handed one because the legs jut out to the right side.
Stop Laughing.....
Remember that I will eventually need a right knee replacement so this will come in handy then and as a Rehab Nurse, I know it will come in handy. Plus if I can use this rather than a walker, all the better!!!
This is what the Parish Center looked like when everything was brought down from the garage where the Flea Market items are collected and stored year round......
Let me mention that one more load came down and nothing was priced!!
Did I think I was going to have a Panic Attack????
I actually thought I would have a Stroke!!!
However, with a team of 15 workers on Wednesday and Thursday morning and another 10 workers on Friday morning we were all set and ready to open on Friday evening for a special Friends and Family Sale for the members of the Parish and then on Saturday to the General Public!!!!
These are some of the workers shopping!!!!
LOL!!
Can you believe it looked like this in only 3 mornings!!!!!
Those are all books down that way.....
Linens, electronics and appliances......
We did an assembly line......
3 People unpacking......
One person putting stickers on items......
Me and the nice young man who is actually taking it over to run were pricing........
And then a crew of people were taking things out to the tables which I had all marked so " like " items were displayed together......
Picture frames, lamps, candles, several tables of decor.....
Vases, dishes, pots and pans, bakeware......
Purses and totes, crafts and sewing, toys and baby.....
Lots of Holiday items!!
It rained the day of the Flea Market which worked in our advantage because it cancelled a lot of yard sales......
People came in droves!!
We dedicated the Flea Market to one of our faithful workers, Betty , who passed away this year.....
Betty, got bags and newspapers ready for the workers ...
Betty, as my guest at the Harvest tea last year.....
And here is some of my group of friends and workers!!!
Cory, who will be running the show from now on with a little assistance from me and Joe, Bill, who is President of the Parish Council, Barb and Regina and Mary Beth, Sitting
Bill, Barb, Regina, Mary Beth, Patty ( who is Betty's Daughter and cried when she saw her Mom's dedication) and Mary
They are actually working and took a break from all the fun!!
Cory, Bill , Barb, Carol, Regina, Mary Beth, Mary and Patty
Without this wonderful crew of people and all the others that came out of the woodwork to lend a hand, we would NEVER have been ever to accomplish this HUGE undertaking!!!
I just wanted to share Cory's Dr. Who shirt!! He is a fellow Whovian like me and my son, Joey!!
These are the same people who also help with the Craft Fair that I Co Chair, working the Kitchen and the Specialty Basket ticket sales!!
These are the same people who you will see as my guests at the Harvest Tea where I will be a Hostess on October 8th!!
My Theme will be a White and Gold Christmas!!
I am still recuperating from this event as I also worked several days during this time and got very little sleep!!
Besides donating my time, Joe and I also donated the ads in the garage sale section of both local newspapers along with a bunch of money for my new Treasures!! I do love my Parish and it's people!!
I am so thrilled that some younger blood will be taking over. Joe and I ran the Flea Markets for our Church for 12 years but "retired" for 2 years when someone else took it over. That person went MIA and Msgr. begged me to help Cory run this one so Cory could see how I used to do it.....
Again, I have that S on my chest and it is not for Super...
It is for Sucker!!!!
LOL!!
I could not say no.......
The end result........
Only 10 boxes were left from all that "stuff"!!!!
We did throw it out because after $1.00 a bag and $2.00 a box and then FREE the last day, if it was left then there was no way we would ever sell it so yes, it did go in the garbage.
Result............. close to $2400!!!!!!!
Cory will be taking it over and I am leaving it in VERY capable hands!!
AND Msgr. is VERY happy!!!!!!
I am still trying to catch up on return comments and emails and visits so please forgive me but I will catch up!!
